3 more days till the beach.......

ahhhh.......3 full sunning days in the sand with the gentle sea breeze and roaring waves, awesome fresh seafood......some good books and music; total relaxation..........I can't wait! Did i mention it's private beach?

• Can I just say that I HATE being a girl?? Ok, not really, cause I wouldn't exactly want to be a guy either, no offense boys! I mean there are some perks to girl-world....but really? Is all the primping, crying, and pain really necessary?? what good is it bringing about....i'm not seeing its justification....and no, its not just this wk...no no, its every wk; everyday, of every wk! I'm just saying.....

• and that's what blogs are for....honesty...which incidently will be policy number one instated when I'm in charge....

The Main Event:

So amanda got married...blah, blah, blah....ok, you know i love you kid-I'm just tired of weddings and empty promises such as: a-i swear there are so many hot single groomsmen....ugh, if they are bringing a date, it kinda voids that statement....b-we have to do the train, it's a tradition....your band must not have gotten the memo, cause they turned us down quite a few times.....c-huddle house rocks....need i explain this pt?....i don't care how hungry andrea is....steer clear of the huddle house...esp. if you were perfectly fine standing in the middle of the street a few min. earlier....and never, never bring your camera in with you...lest some idiot think it a dish, and politely soak it for hours in dishwater for you-ang and I are starting the ban huddle house movement....new kid in town-waffle house rocks!.....d-everyone will be at TJ's....maybe we should define everyone....maybe i'm just over clemson....

k, perhaps i'll be over the bitterness after posting a few pics.....i had fun....thanks for the no-date pact....i can't wait to see ya'll soon....new location? and perhaps a little more bedspace.....

mysteries of the wkend (cause there always is): a-andrea ends up in steph and I's bed-i mean i love you, but amy had a whole bed to herself, and doubles are kinda small.....how did this happen? and where were your pants? b-a random cocktail party, just because? c-what was huddle house thinking?, but then again, it was 3am d-did we actually get blown off by TJ and Leslie Sat. night, cause I think we did?

-next time we're getting a real dd and disposable cameras...and I'm having a hot date.....

My how time flies

Excuse me, but where did the summer go?....ok, i know it's only july, but still....it's july....and i just noted that i haven't blogged in over a month....One of my highschool girls got married this wkend, so maybe i'm just being sentimental, but i feel like everytime i blink another few months of my life just flash by. I'm scarred i'm going to wake up next wk and be 40. No seriously, i can hardly remember highschool from 7 yrs ago and college seems distant even at 3. This last yr has flown. Father time....please take a vacation, or at least consider a siesta? please?

So now let's commemorate the last month in a few blinks, courtesy of some pics.....

A nice warm summer night and a sounds baseball game....drinks, hotdogs, icees, and fireworks after. Next time we're making shirts and having a cool grp name just so we can be on the scoreboard!

4 states, 5 cities, 11 friends, 2 amusement parks, 4 tanks of gas for 1500 miles of roadage, all in 8 days....thanks for all the fun and bedspace! I needed the vacation.

ok kiddies-grab a pillow and gather round the carpet square for story time!

tonight, i watched King Kong.....yes.....and perhaps its cause its 4am, or cause we started studying Song of Soloman today, or just cause i'm cynnical and single, but i saw a very strong correlation between kong and guys....that's right....i will now analyze the metaphor between man and ape for each of you....

The Art of Attraction (Ann and Kong-a tragic love story)
-similarities btwn guys and kong:

• like to climb things
• have opposable thumbs (very important to species survival-esp if living in a jungle w/prehistoric creatures and gigantic bugs-added bonus: you can catch a falling girl while simultaneously fighting off 3 t-rexes)
• wreckless endagerment (to themselves as well as anyone near them...anyone ever seen jackass?)
• jealousy guides actions
• hairy
• bad manners and poor housekeeping skills (at least throw out the skulls and rotting carcasses once a wk please)
• less than par communication skills (sorry, but we girls don't easily translate hand gestures and grunts)
• easily entertained (falling down is only funny once)
• beat their chest to proclaim they are king of the mtn (there is even a game to honor this)
• slow to learn even simple things (so the ape doesn't speak english, surely he knows sign language! who doesn't?....well, apparently kong, cause it took the whole movie for him to learn one word-beautiful)
• they'll pout if you leave them
• expect something in return for saving you
• even when going down they still need to continue fighting (some don't know when to quit...you are falling off the cliff-forget about the t-rex and concentrate on saving yourself, why are you punching them...arghhh!)
• always in pursuit of a girl (not that i can blame you)
• need a challenge (adrenaline junkies)
• an innate desire to save and protect girls

-so the above list isn't all bad....just truths and similarities.....but there is something that can also be learned from Ann

-why she kept coming back for more (when danger obviously followed him):

• we're suckers for being pursued
• sometimes we like the company of companions who can't speak
• if stranded in a scary jungle with natives that will sacrifice you or cut off your head-its always good to have a protector around
• we think we can turn even the most hopeless cause into the best behaved-we like to band-aid things to a fault

-even in the midst of crisis a woman should always strive to:

• Be beautiful
• take time to laugh a little and have fun (central park and frozen pond=fun even if the whole city is after you with guns)
• wear heels when running and perhaps skimpy clothing (at the very least, you'll look sexier doing it)
• enjoy the sunsets/sunrises (from the empire state bldg if u have access)
• don't give up hope until the end of the fight
